Self care as Winter Approaches

Self care as Winter Approaches

Cozy fall sweaters and cute boots have appeared in my closet. It is a time for fall walks by the lake, blustery winds that either caress or bite, and comfort food. It is a time of self care. My desire in the moment is to paint--my first winter painting arrived yesterday on my canvas, and I thought of my book, "Loving All of Me: The Inner World." One of the major premises is to know oneself, to be aware of what is happening internally, so that one can be more balanced, more grounded, and more accepting of who one is. For me, this means following the inbreath, outbreath of creation--to paint if that is what I am called to do, knowing the intense desire to write will reappear. Art, for me, requires little thought, it is an outbreath of creation that arrives. Today, this is what my soul is asking for.
